Have You Been Ordering Things Online?

A view of a person picking up a delivered package at their front door

People order things online every single day, and in the past few months, you may have ordered a few more things than usual due to stores being closed and trying to remain safe during the coronavirus pandemic. Ordering online can be more convenient than shopping in person, since you can take all the time you want and make your purchase from the comfort of your own home!

However, depending on what you order, you may need to find space in your house for these new items. If you bought furniture online and had it delivered, you’ll need to figure out where it’s going to go. You’ll also need to decide if you move the old furniture into another room, or if you’ll put it into self-storage for a certain period of time. At EZ Storage® in Philadelphia, we can help you find the ideal storage space.

Storing New Items

The possibilities are virtually limitless when it comes to what you can order online. You may have purchased new books or new electronics over the past few months, all from your couch or dining room table. You may have ordered new bookshelves or cabinets online from a local retailer that is offering free delivery during the pandemic. Whatever the case may be, if you’re in the midst of rearranging or remodeling your home, you might need to store some of these new items.

You may have also ordered some seasonal items, such as new winter jackets for the family, or perhaps you finished your holiday shopping early. If you need to store these things for a few months, we can help you find a small storage unit.

Storing Old Items

As the items you’ve ordered online arrive at your front door, you might be thinking about where you want to put them. The new bookshelf will go in the living room, right next to where the new armchair that you ordered a few weeks ago will be placed. The old chair will need to go into storage, and you can move it into your unit even before the new one arrives. The same goes for any books or electronics that you purchased online — you can box up any old books or devices and put them into storage, where they will be safe and sound until you find another spot for them or sell them.

If you’ve been spending more time at home over the past few months, you may have already started to rearrange some things. As you do, think about what you can store and what can be moved into other areas of the house, such as the basement or the garage. That way, when the things you ordered online arrive, there will already be a spot for them!

Reserve Storage Online

On top of shopping online for new things, you can also reserve your new self-storage unit online. Simply visit our Philadelphia page and select the facility location you want. From there, all you have to do is choose the unit size you want and click “Reserve.” You can also go directly to our Reservation page, select the location and unit size you want, and submit the form. You’ll need to call the office to finalize your lease, and our team will gladly answer any questions you have.

At EZ Storage®, we know these past few months have been different in terms of routine and schedule. If you’ve been shopping online for new items for your home, and need to store some new or old things, we’re here to help. We can provide you with a convenient and affordable self-storage unit that you can rent for as long as you need.
